BAD WEATHER

Dark clouds setting

Covering a smiling sun…

Cold draft coming

A message that summer is done…

And on my face a seasoned frown

Takes the place of a smile well worn…

Tempers flare…

And we fail to keep our passions

Under the lid

Of a practiced superficiality

Now pours our vented rage

In fiery flashes and thunders loud…

Our view obscured

By fierce funnel clouds

Today we knew

The reign

Of our wrath

As a dreadful frightening

Thunderstorm
