Gods who think like mortals
Indulge their passions
In ruthless pursuit of their desires
Expressing their whim
With the split-second fierceness
Of stormy clouds in opposite polarity
Smashed together in fiery abandon
And breeding in their blaze
Children like us…
Men who think like lesser gods
Indulging their whims
In ruthless pursuit of those passions
That expose their opposite polarities
Creating storms that rage
First in their souls… and then upon a world
That has them confused
About creature and creator
Spirits cast down
Because of unresolved quarrels
And desires born of a ruthless passion
To rule a world out of which they came to be…
Victims… of a deception
Outcasts of a heaven… that is pure love
And a Creator… who knows no passion
